The justice Ministry sent a request to the constitutional court in the Yukos case. The Agency considers that the ECtHR, deciding on payments of Russia to the shareholders of the company used provisions that diverge from the Russian Constitution

The Ministry of justice on Wednesday, October 12, appealed to the constitutional court with a request for execution of the ECHR ruling in the Yukos case. It is reported TASS with reference to the Agency.

The Ministry of justice considers that the obligations that the ECtHR has imposed on Russia, based on the use of court “provision of the Convention on the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the interpretation, leading to their discrepancy with the Constitution of the Russian Federation”.
