Malaysian police confirmed to Reuters the death of Kim Jong-Nam, brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN. Informed South Korean Agency Yonhap, citing a source, wrote about the assassination of Kim Jong-Nam
Malaysian police have confirmed the death of Kim Jong-Nam, brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN, reports Reuters. Cause of death not yet determined, said police. According to police, Kim Jong-Nam planned to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Macau.
According to the publication Malaysiakini, citing police at the airport in Kuala Lumpur to brother of North Korean leader, a woman came up and threw on his head the cloth, which contained an unknown liquid. Kim Jong-Nam began to burn his eyes, he tried to provide assistance at the airport, then sent him to the hospital. However, on the way to the hospital he died.
Source Bloomberg as South Korea’s government said that killing Kim Jong-Nam used the poison.
Cable channel TV Chosun brought his version of what happened. He reported that Kim Jong-Nam, was killed in the Malaysian airport in an attack of two unknown women. They supposedly used the “poisoned needle” and then ran away. The police, according to the channel, suspects that the murder is itself North Korea.
Kim Jong-Nam is the eldest son of Kim Jong Il, the previous North Korean leader, who died in 2011. He was born from an extramarital affair Kim Jong-Il with a woman by the name of song Hye-rim, an actress who was born in South Korea and died in Moscow.
Kim Jong-Nam has lived many years outside of Korea. He fell out of favor with Kim Jong-Il for the attempt in 2001 to enter Japan on a fake passport.
