Due to the requirement for mandatory installation of the system “ERA-GLONASS” in the customs warehouses in the far East stuck around 1.4 thousand cars. As reported by Primorsky Krai administration, said the head of the far Eastern customs administration, Yuri Ladygin.

According to him, about a thousand cars were in limbo in customs warehouses in Primorye, the rest in Japan.

As reported by the Governor of Primorsky Krai Vladimir Miklushevsky, the day before, on February 15 hosted a video gate with Deputy Prime Ministers Dmitry Rogozin and Yury Trutnev, the results of which the Chairman of Russian government Dmitry Medvedev instructed to solve the problem.

Earlier Miklushevsky appealed to Trutnev the initiative to postpone by six months the technical regulation on the installation of the system “ERA-GLONASS”.

The mandatory equipping of vehicles with the systems of emergency call services “ERA-GLONASS” with the registration in Russia came into force on 1 January 2017. In January, due to the lack of ERA-GLONASS at customs checkpoints in the Far East have been detained almost 800 cars, which is more than 60% of the total number imported from abroad machines.

19 February in Vladivostok held a rally for the repeal of the ban on the issuance by customs authorities of the passport vehicle (TCP) for second-hand cars imported into Russia without the ERA-GLONASS.
