A South Korean court issued a warrant for the arrest of the actual head of Samsung Group, but refused the detention of the President of Samsung Electronics

As reported by Reuters, the Central district court of Seoul granted permission for the arrest of the actual head of Samsung Group Lee Jae Yong, who is suspected of involvement in the corruption scandal that led to the impeachment of President Park Geun-Hye. It was already the second attempt of the prosecution to seek warrant of arrest of the businessman. On 19 January, it failed because the court considered the arguments of the investigation insufficient.

Simultaneously, the Seoul court gave permission for the arrest of the head of Samsung Electronics San Jin Pak, who is also the defendants in the corruption case.

Lee Cheng Yong is suspected that gave $38 million to a close friend of the President, to the authorities did not prevent the merger of the company with one of the construction companies.
