Few Russians deported from Serbia, they are suspected of involvement in the preparation of terrorist attacks after the elections in Montenegro, writes “Kommersant”. The publication connects this scandal with the visit of the head of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev in Belgrade. The Serbian Prime Minister refused to comment
According to “Kommersant”, the Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev arrived in Belgrade the day after on Monday evening, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic unveiled the details of the plan of capture of state institutions of Montenegro, which was to be implemented “with the assistance of foreign factor”.
On 16 October the Montenegrin authorities announced the arrest of a group of Serbian citizens suspected of preparing terrorist attacks in the night after the parliamentary elections. Later, Serbian Prime Minister Vucic confirmed the arrest of compatriots who planned to open fire on participants of meeting of opposition in order to provoke chaos and the storming of Parliament. The Prime Minister also said that the Serbian law enforcement agencies have identified “several threat groups” involved in the implementation of this plan, backed by “very serious people”.
“We arrested person was operating in coordination with foreigners,” said Vucic, adding that “certain persons have followed literally every step of the Prime Minister of Montenegro,” Djukanovic Mila and “informed the other people who had to act in accordance with their instructions.” According to the Serbian Prime Minister, those arrested were found €125 thousand, special uniforms, and surveillance of the Prime Minister of Montenegro was carried out “with the help of modern equipment”.
According to “Kommersant”, local media quoted Serbian investigators reported that groups of attackers kept in touch with phones with scramblers, had at their disposal high-quality satellite imagery of a number of public facilities in Podgorica, the routes of movement of the Montenegrin Prime Minister, writes “Kommersant”. Also, they had uniforms that they had to change the capture of the Parliament and which was similar to the one that uses the Montenegrin special forces.
During the visit of Patrushev in Belgrade newspaper Danas, citing close to the government sources reported that a few Russians were deported from Serbia “for participation in the preparation of terrorist acts in Montenegro.”
The source of “Kommersant” in Belgrade familiar with the issues held in the Serbian capital of negotiations, said that the objective of the Secretary of the Russian security Council was “to correct the situation and prevent a scandal in Russian-Serbian relations.” The newspaper notes that, according to the report after the meeting, Vucic and Patrushev, the last to accomplish the task failed.
Sources close to the government of Serbia, said that Belgrade is interested in this scandal. At the same time, noted the sources, the authorities of Serbia seeking to join the EU don’t want to be suspected of involvement in criminal actions in the neighboring country.
Vucic declined to comment to channel N1 allegations of deported Russians. “Not everything in your question is incorrect, and one part is false. I didn’t want you to answer not only this, but due to the fact that I have no right to talk about such things by law”, stressed the Serbian Prime Minister.
