– The Kremlin has not commented on reports about the film by Alexei Uchitel “Matilda”, said press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
“We are not able to voice the Kremlin’s position, because there is no film. He’s not ready. So we, unfortunately, do not have such possibility – to form a position” – Peskov said, answering the journalists ‘ questions.
Earlier the Deputy of the state Duma Natalia Polonskaya appealed to the Prosecutor General with a request to conduct investigation against the Director of the movie, which tells about the relations of Emperor Nicholas II and the ballerina Matilda Kshesinskaya. According to the Deputy, turned to her public figures who believe that the picture will be “anti-Russian and anti-religious provocation in the field of culture”.
Premiere of “Matilda” is planned for 30 March 2017. The film tells about the ballerina Mathilde Kshesinskaia.
