The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the decree about the dismissal of Alexei Ulyukayev as head of the Ministry of economic development due to loss of confidence. Earlier Ulyukayev sent under house arrest on charges of bribery in a $2 million

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin by his decree dismissed Alexei Ulyukayev from the post of head of economic development. About it on Tuesday evening the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, reports “Interfax”.

“Putin issued a decree released from the post of speaker in connection with loss of trust,” said the spokesman.

On Tuesday afternoon, Peskov said that Putin has not yet made a decision on the resignation of the accused in the bribery of Minister of economic development. “For dismissal required of sufficient reason, not the primary information, and the information that, say, supported by relevant arguments, the seriousness of which corresponds to the severity of charges”, — said Peskov to reporters.

On the evening of Tuesday, the Basmanny court of Moscow has sent Ulyukayev, who is accused of receiving a bribe in especially large size, under house arrest for two months. On house arrest was applied for the investigation.

Ulyukayev arrested yesterday, November 14. He was suspected of receiving a bribe of $2 million for a positive evaluation, which has allowed “Rosneft” to acquire “Bashneft”. On 15 November he was charged with receiving a bribe with extortion in especially large size. As reported by the official representative of the Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, the Minister was caught red-handed when receiving a bribe of $2 million.

Itself the speaker on the court, where it was a question of the measure of restraint, refused to admit his guilt and stated that refrains from testifying. Ulyukayev lawyer Timofei Gridnev said earlier that his client considers the incident on November 14 in the office of “Rosneft” as a provocation.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev called the case of speaker “a tough time for the government”. “What happened is beyond my comprehension,” said the head of government. He added that from what happened it can be concluded that none of the authorities does not have immunity in criminal offences.

Earlier, Medvedev the decree has appointed the acting Minister of economic development Deputy speaker Evgeny Elin.
