London (UK)

The cost of an hour of Parking in the city centre: £4 (about 320$)

Tokyo (Japan)

How the system of paid Parking in Moscow

Paid Parking appeared in Moscow in 2012. The fee was 50 RUB/hour. Originally organized spaces appeared in the centre of the city.

In 2014 the paid Parking zone expanded to the Third transport ring and point out its limits. In December 2015, the paid Parking zone covered some streets outside the TTC.

From August 2015 the cost of Parking within the Garden ring amounted to 60 or 80 rubles per hour., depending on the area. Between the outer border of the Garden ring and the TTC Parking is 40 rubles per hour., as on the streets included in the paid Parking zone beyond TTR. In the area of differentiated tariffs (“Moscow-city” and some of the streets within the Boulevard ring) the cost of the first hour of Parking is 80 RUB/hour, second and further 130 rubles/hour.

From 2 December 2016 the cost of paid Parking on the streets 133 will reach 200 RUB/hour. In the Boulevard ring area 32 on the streets from eight in the morning until eight in the evening the first half hour of Parking will cost 50 rubles., and the first hour is 150 rubles and 80 rubles each subsequent hour. The rest of the time the Parking fee will be 80 rubles per hour.

According to the President of Federation of automobile owners of Russia Sergey Kanaev, Moscow authorities hoped that by 2014 the project will bring the budget to 1 billion roubles per month, however, as the newspaper “Vedomosti”, in 2016, the city still spends more for metered Parking than earn them.

Paris (France)

The cost of an hour of Parking in the city centre: €2-€3 (138-207 RUB)

Parking time: no more than two hours

The cost of entry to the center: free

Free Parking: at night and on Sunday, in August (during holiday season)

The penalty for wrong Parking: €35 (RUB 2400), €68 (4700 rubles) or €135 (9350 rubles) depending on the violation.
