– The Russian fighter of the mixed single combats Fedor Emelyanenko will hold his next fight in February under the auspices of the American organization Bellator, according to MMA News, citing a source in the entourage of the President of the MMA Union of Russia.
As noted, the name of the opponent multiple champion MMA is still unknown. Most likely, they will be former UFC fighter Matt Mitrion, who won two Bellator victories by knockout.
Last fight Emelianenko held on 18 June 2016 in the organization Fight Nights against Fabio Maldonado, winning by majority decision of judges in trehprudnom confrontation. The Russians were close to defeat in the first round, but was able to return to the fight.
However, in July there appeared information about the fact that the international Association of the mixed single combats (WMMAA) recommended to deprive Emelianenko status of the winner in a battle with Maldonado and recognize the result of the match a draw.
