General Prosecutor’s office questioned the country’s President Petro Poroshenko in the case of the riots in Kiev in 2013-2014, RIA Novosti reported citing local media.
Could Yanukovych to disperse the Maidan?
According to the publication, the interrogation had to go on 29 November, however, it took almost a week early – on Friday evening, November 18. The investigators were interested in a few episodes in the case of the Maidan. It is noted that the interrogation lasted six hours.
Earlier General Prosecutor of Ukraine announced that he was going to question him about the riots in Kiev a number of top officials. Investigators talked, in particular, with the former Prime Minister of the country Arseniy Yatsenyuk, interior Minister Arseniy Avakov. Also called in for questioning a former head of state Viktor Yanukovych. His lawyer said that the former President will take part in the interrogation by video conference.
