Federal service of execution of punishments (FSIN) has asked the interior Ministry to deal with fight with participation of Ildar Dading, who became the first convicted on criminal charges of violations at rallies. The administration of colony No. 7, Segezha, where the convicted opposition leader, gave the police documents on the grounds of his fight with cellmate. About this TASS said the head of the press service of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Karelia Leonid Rozenberg.
The same information was confirmed by TASS in the press service of the Federal penitentiary service in the Republic of Karelia. According to Rosenberg, all documents related to the incident that occurred in the colony, transferred to the local police Department. “Now gather the documents being tested, the results of which procedural decision will be made,” said Rosenberg. The interior Ministry said that the incident may be a criminal case under article 116 of the criminal code (assault) or article 115 (deliberate causing of a little harm to health), but “it depends from the injuries”.
Management of the Federal penitentiary service for the Republic of Karelia told about the fight the Dading with a fellow inmate last week, 17 Nov. According to authorities, between men there was a conflict on domestic violence, which escalated into a verbal argument and then a fight. In the message of the Federal penitentiary service said that the Dading got scratch in the area of the lips, and his cellmate multiple head injuries. The source of “RIA Novosti” with reference to a source in law enforcement bodies told that the fight occurred because of a boiler.
The next day wife Dading Anastasia Zotova reported details of the incident. According to her, the cellmate of a convicted Dadina cut lip, and then grabbed me by the neck and tried to fill up on the floor. “The administration is not doing anything until the government starts to piss me off — apparently, that was the video for the next “action,” she said.
According to Zotova, after the fight, the Dading not resettled in another cell, however, the FSIN reported that men were placed in separate cells after the incident.
Dading became the first Russian who was sentenced on charges of violations at rallies. In December 2015, he was sentenced to three years imprisonment, in March the court reduced the sentence to 2.5 years. In early November, Dading wrote a letter in which he reported the beatings and threats from employees of the colony. This drew the attention of human rights activists, the Federal penitentiary service and the Ombudsman for human rights Tatyana Moskalkova.
FSIN initiated after review stated that the independent doctors did not find signs of torture, “as well as signs of previous injuries” on the body of the convict. However, a member of the Council on human rights Igor Kalyapin said that by Dadina could be applied to violent measures. In his opinion, the convicted person correctly stated all the events that happened to him.
Last week, the coordinator of the project “Гулагу.net” Anton Drozdov in an interview with RBC told about the prisoners ‘ complaints of torture on the part of correctional officers, including one containing the Dading.
