The Executive Committee of the Russian football Union took the decision on the appointment of the former head of the Department of interaction with mass media of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin Chairman of the RFU Committee on safety and work with fans, reports TASS.

This decision was made during the session of the RFU Executive Committee, held on Tuesday in the House of football in Moscow.
We will remind that Vladimir Markin headed the office of media relations of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation from 13 September 2007 to 6 October 2016.
In September this year, Markin filed a resignation. According to him, he left the post at own will.
On 7 October, Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Markin from his post.
In turn, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin has included former press Secretary to members of the public Council and was awarded the departmental medal.
