Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov called the term “reset” for relations between Russia and the United States is compromised, the correspondent of RBC.

“As for the word “reset”. Probably with President-elect to agree, the word is somewhat compromised themselves, because the consequences of restarting a few not the ones we would like to see,” said Sands, answering the question of journalists.

According to Peskov, the relationship between Russia and the United States are at the bottom and they are not even you can spoil.

“Now the level of our bilateral relations leaves much to be desired, hardly something to mess around in these respects, they are right at the bottom. But, of course, we hope that dialogue will be resumed and will start not simple and clear that it is not a quick process output relations in a constructive direction,” he said (quoted by “Interfax”).

November 14, trump and Putin discussed bilateral relations by telephone. During the conversation they “agreed to the assessment of the current extremely poor state of Russian-American relations” and agreed to actively work together to improve them.

According to The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, trump was inclined to give the post of Secretary of state to Republican MITT Romney. In 2012 during the presidential race, Romney called Russia “geopolitical enemy of the U.S. number one”. “I’m not going to wear rose-colored glasses, reflecting on Russia and Vladimir Putin, and I certainly am not going to promise him more flexibility after the presidential election. After the election he will receive from me greater stability”, — said Romney.
