The human rights organization “memorial” has opened access to a database of nearly 40 thousand employees of the NKVD era of the “Great terror”.
“Open the directory access A. N. Zhukov “the staff of bodies of state security of the USSR. 1935-1939″”, – Interfax quoted the co-chair of the “Memorial” Jan Raczynski.
The main source of information for the dictionary were the orders of the NKVD personnel.
The reference book contains short data on 39 thousand 950 NKVD, who received a special rank of the system of state security since their introduction in 1935 until the beginning of 1941.
The community noted that the Handbook will be useful to those interested in Soviet history.
