– The St. Petersburg authorities plan to transfer the management of football club “Zenit”, under construction on Krestovsky island stadium for the 2018 world Cup until January 25, 2017, said Vice-Governor Igor Albin reporters on Friday.
He recalled that the city signed with the club Memorandum of transfer of the object, however, the scheme is not yet defined – a concession or long term lease.
“The backlog (in the construction of the stadium – if) at around 30 days for some work. But we’ll make up the schedule for the next two weeks. Another issue – commissioning to all systems of the stadium were aligned,” said Albin.
Vice-Governor said that Smolny will work with Zenit to create a single management system.
Speaking about the finalization of the design roll-out of the field, Albin said that it is planned to strengthen the secondary beam, to fasten a metal plate to make a backup of the whole structure. All work on the field is planned to be completed in late January, said Vice-Governor.
The new stadium on Krestovsky island started to build for the football club “Zenit” in 2007 on the site of Kirov stadium.
