Service “Mercy” has announced a set of courses to care for seriously ill

Orthodox service of assistance “Mercy” has announced a range of free courses for the care of seriously ill people, said the press-Secretary of the charity Anna Ovsyannikova.

Courses are designed for those who want to acquire the skills of nursing care or to the profession of a nurse. Classes should begin in December and will last eight months. They will be held three times a week on weekdays in the evening.

Experienced teachers will teach visitors courses nursing, fundamentals of anatomy and therapy and spiritual basics of mercy. In practical classes will be taught by a special procedure for the care of bedridden patients, developed over more than 20 years of experience of service “Mercy”. Practice will begin with the first lesson.

Graduates can find employment in such service projects as the Holy Spiridonievsky hospice, home-care service home care service and palliative care to people with HIV.

Nursing courses will be held at St. Dimitry’s school for sisters of mercy at the address: Leninsky Prospekt, 8, building No. 12.
