The Russian biathlon Union refused to hold a world Cup in Tyumen, the decision to dispense with the holding of the world Cup in Tyumen, said the press-service of the International biathlon Union (IBU).

“On Thursday SBR told IBU that returns the right to host the 2017 Junior and youth world Championships in the Island city, and the world Cup in Tyumen. New locations of these events will be approved later,” the statement reads IBU.
Stage of the biathlon world Cup should be held in Tyumen from 9 to 12 March 2017.
The IBU also announced the launch of the investigation in respect of almost 30 Russian athletes, and another two removed from the competition.
“In connection with the opening of a disciplinary investigation by the International Olympic Committee in respect of two Russian athletes, they imposed a temporary ban on speech. In addition, opened an official investigation against 29 men listed in the second part of the report of the McLaren, and also in respect of the Union of biathletes of Russia”, – reads the statement of the IBU.
It notes that 29 athletes in the present is not a temporary suspension. The investigation against the two suspended athletes for violations at the Olympics in Sochi.
The Executive Committee of the organization entrusted previously created a working group to continue the investigation with the assistance of lawyers and experts of the world anti-doping Agency, which offered assistance to the IBU.
The organization also reported that only one out of 31 of the athlete, referred to in the report of McLaren, competed only in Russia. Another athlete has previously been suspended for violation of SBR, the report said WADA.
As reported, the IBU has received from the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) list, which included 31 Russians suspected of doping. “Some athletes from the list provided already disqualified, but there are those who perform well in international competitions. During the week we will form an opinion and disqualify perpetrators,” said IBU President Anders Besseberg.
Earlier, Russia has already lost the right to host the world Cup bobsleigh and skeleton 2017 that Sochi underwent in the German königssee.
