The Deputy of the state Duma from “United Russia” Sergei Zheleznyak, the most probable candidate on a post of the Deputy chief of internal policy Department, responsible for relations with Parliament, told RBC sources
Deputy Secretary of General Council of “United Russia”, Deputy of the state Duma Sergei Zheleznyak considered for the position of chief of Management of internal policy of the Kremlin (Ohr), responsible for interaction with the state Duma and the Federation Council, told RBC two sources close to the presidential administration, and confirmed the interlocutor in the Kremlin.
The position of zamnachalnika DIP, responsible for interaction with the Duma and the Federation Council, was released on December 12 last year left the post came to the Kremlin from the Public chamber of Russia, Sergei Smirnov.
Smirnov was appointed Deputy head of the Ohr in September 2016, shortly before leaving Volodin in the state Duma. Prior to that, he directed the office of the Public chamber. Another close to the presidential administration, the interlocutor of RBC said that the number of applicants for the position of Deputy head of the Ohr is the former Deputy of the state Duma, head of the Committee on constitutional legislation, Vladimir Pligin. In the state Duma of this convocation he did not pass.
A source in the Kremlin confirmed to RBC that Pligin is also considered for the post of Deputy head of DIP, but, according to him, this appointment would be unlikely. From more detailed comments he refused.
A source close to the government told RBC that the candidate pligina as a potential Deputy chief of the office no longer because soon he can get another post. Previously, “Kommersant” reported that the Pligin is regarded as a contender for the position of Deputy Minister of justice. A source in the government at the end of last year, said that the documents for the appointment Pligin, Deputy Minister of justice are already in the Cabinet.
He Pligin at the request of the RBC to comment on his possible appointment said, “not says nothing.”
“Sergei Zheleznyak is a more likely candidate (for appointment of the Deputy chief of Department of internal policy),” said RBC a source in the Kremlin. But, according to him, there are other candidates. Their names RBC spokesman refused to name. A final decision on a new Deputy yet. It can be taken in February.
First Deputy head of the presidential administration Sergei Kiriyenko in the selection of candidates for the position of Deputy chief was guided by the fact that it must be people who know deputies of the State Duma, understand the way it works, explained a source in the Kremlin.
Sergei Zheleznyak told RBC that he first heard about his possible appointment.
