Former US President Barack Obama supported the people of the country who come to the protest in connection with the decision of Donald trump to restrict entry to immigrants from the Middle East

The official representative of the former head of the White house Kevin Lewis said that Obama supported the US citizens protesting against the anti-immigrant decree of trump. “Citizens use their constitutional right to gather and Express their opinion to protect American values,” – said in a statement quoted by Politico.

Lewis did not comment on that decree trump, however, indicated that the ex-President opposes discrimination on matters of faith and religion.

Politico notes that this is the first comment Obama after the inauguration of the new President.

January 27, Donald trump signed a decree “On the protection of the country from the entry of foreign terrorists.” The document has restricted entry into the country for residents of a number of countries in the Middle East, including refugees from Syria.
