Nabiullina, speaking at the forum, organized by the Association of Bank “Russia”, said that he sees the growth of the value of this financial instrument the characteristics of a classic Ponzi scheme: “the Cost (of cryptocurrency — ed.) is largely growing due to the fact that involved in these schemes, more and more participants. Nabiullina added that he believes investing in cryptocurrency risky and speculative investment.

Earlier, a similar opinion was expressed by the Minister of economic development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin: it is also considered cryptocurrency pyramid.
