“The head of the Armenian foreign Ministry has not ruled out a transfer of some territories to Azerbaijan

– Armenia in the framework of the Karabakh settlement is discussing with Azerbaijan the return of those territories that will not pose a threat to Karabakh, said Monday the foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian.

“In connection with the return of the territories we are talking about those areas that security would not be threatened nor Karabakh or the outcome (of conflict – if),” – said the Minister, answering questions of participants of the Sixth pan-Armenian forum “Armenia-Diaspora” in Yerevan.

“Other details can not tell, otherwise the negotiations will fail,” said the Minister.

Earlier, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, speaking at the forum, stressed that the resolution of the Karabakh conflict depends on the realization of human rights and compliance with international principles, said

He also said that Armenia’s position is unchangeable – “the population of Artsakh (Armenian name of Karabakh. – If) has the right to a free and safe life in their own country, and sells this right to the state institutions and a vibrant economy”.

“Implementation of this law – a historical fact. The remaining issues can be resolved through peaceful negotiations,” – said the President of Armenia.
