A natural disaster can cause “catastrophic consequences”, said Tuesday the National hurricane center of the United States (NHC).
On the night of September 19, a hurricane, according to the NHC, reached the shores of the island of Dominica, home to about 72 thousand people. Authorities have declared a storm warning.
Located North-West of Guadeloupe began evacuation of people in connection with the danger of floods and earthquakes. On another island, Martinique, local residents were advised not to leave their homes, reports Deutsche Welle.
The storm also is expected in Puerto Rico, who previously suffered significantly as a result of hurricane “Irma”. The authorities have already imposed a state of emergency and announced the evacuation of citizens.
