The largest online drug store RAMP (Russian anonymous marketplace), which existed in the Russian zone, Darknet, was eliminated last summer, the Ministry of internal Affairs: about the Ministry reported in response to the request of the Deputy of the State Duma Anton Gorelkin.
According to Deputy interior Minister Mikhail Vanichkin, quoted by TASS, the Agency carries out “complex of measures, directed on revealing and suppression of activity of participants of criminal groups, engaged in distribution of synthetic drugs, dangerous drugs, precursors and cocaine in a contactless manner with the aid of the Internet”.
In the framework of these measures and the work was stopped RAMP, and Gorelkin stressed that we are not talking about locks at the level of providers, namely the elimination of the store.
Also Gorelkin noted that this occurred against the background of the publications in the media about the impunity of the Internet traffickers who bragged he had “they all bought”, and was surprised that the interior Ministry has previously publicly announced about his success.
Online drug store was established back in 2012 and stopped working in July 2017, with data on its users were in the Network, and one of the administrators talked about attempts to restore the activity of the site.
RAMP outwardly resembled the usual online stores: there was conducted the sale, was advertised direct delivery of drugs from abroad, etc.
