– The militants of the terrorist group ISIS (banned in Russia – if) shot down a Syrian air force helicopter in the province of Deir ez-Zor, reported the Arab media, citing local sources.
According to them, the helicopter of Syrian government forces was shot down near the town Samite near the Euphrates.
Earlier in September, the Syrian army broke more than three-year siege of the terrorist group ISIS Deir ez-Zor. On Monday Syrian government forces with the support of videoconferencing crossed the Euphrates river in Deir-ez-Zor.
The Russian defense Ministry said that “the assault troops of the Syrian army drove the militants from several villages on the Eastern Bank of the Euphrates and develop the offensive to the East, expanding the bridgehead captured”.
