– U.S. President Donald trump on Monday handed over for publication in the Federal register, the U.S. notice of renewal for another year of emergency.
Text notifications are also sent to the heads of both chambers of the U.S. Congress.
“I sent for publication in the Federal register a notice that the state of emergency imposed because of the threat and support of terrorism, 23 September 2001, should be extended for another year,” said trump.
The state of emergency initially imposed US President George W. Bush September 14, 2001, after a series of terrorist attacks in the United States committed on 11 September 2001.
