“Network cafe “chocolate” to spend 600 million rubles for rebranding

– A network of coffee houses “Shokoladnitsa” for two years, will invest 600 million roubles in rebranding. The changes will affect all aspects of network operation – from the logo and shape employees up to the standards of cooking food, interior, service and personnel training system, the company said.

Each new “chocolate” will open with area grab-and-go for the award with him. It will also house a mini-shops. All the new coffee shops will be equipped with multi-function convection ovens, equipment for the manufacture of bakery products, that will significantly expand the menu. The average check in the updated “chocolate” will not change (500 rubles in the hall and 300 rubles when ordering takeaway).

In addition, the company will be the supplier of coffee beans: the new supplier will be Olam, and “chocolate” will have the opportunity to influence the quality of future crops by controlling the processes assigned to her plantations. Change of supplier connected with high requirements to the quality of coffee that makes the market leader’s position occupied by the “Chocolate girl,” reads her message.

Now the supplier of “Chocolate girl” is the Russian SFT Trading. Olam went out to “Chocolate” as the largest player in the market and offered cooperation as well as expertise in working with the roasting, Barista training, reported in a press-service of the network.

Roasting beans will be held in the workshop of “Chocolate girl”, which was launched in April 2016.

The first four new coffee shops will open in October in Moscow. Then will be reconstructed to the historic, the very first “chocolate” on the Big Yakimanka. After a month of testing the concept will make any necessary adjustments. Within two years, the renovation will affect all institutions of the network (about 360 points in Russia and CIS excluding franchised coffee shops).

“Chocolate” – the largest chain in Russia. Each month of the establishment of the network is visited by over 2.5 million people who drink 2 million cups of coffee. According to analytical system “SPARK-Interfax”, the proceeds of LLC “Gallery-Alex” (the network operator) in 2016 decreased by 4.8% to 8.97 billion from 9.42 billion in 2015. Net profit fell to 86.2 million rubles 99,2 million roubles.

Group of companies “Shokoladnitsa” manages the same coffee shops, and a network “Coffee house” chocolate bar Max Brenner restaurants “Wabi Sabi”, KFC and Pizza Hut.
