– The U.S. Senate on Thursday unanimously approved the nomination of Jon Huntsman as Ambassador to Russia.
“The Senate approved of Jon Huntsman Jr. of Utah as U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation”, – reported in the official Twitter of the Senate.
“I consider it an honor to serve our great country as the U.S. Ambassador to Russia. Look forward to the opportunity to join the team of the American Embassy in Moscow”, – wrote the huntsman via Twitter.

Predecessor Huntsman John Tefft, left Moscow on Thursday. Earlier it was reported that the new Ambassador will arrive in Russia in early October.
