Retailer “Magnit” has directed to Federal Antimonopoly service of the Russian Federation the petition for acquisition of 100% stake in ETK, OOO.
ETK is the owner of the leasing rights to the retail space in Krasnoyarsk and some other settlements of the Krasnoyarsk territory and the Republic of Khakassia, which is currently running regional retail chain “Krasny Yar” (shops “Krasny Yar” and “Baton”).
Currently with the owners ETK, OOO discussed the terms of the transaction, which can be executed after obtaining approval of the FAS, said, “Magnet.”
In case of successful closing of the transaction “Magnit” will become the owner of 100% shares in the share capital of the company “ETK” and you will have the opportunity to access at least 153 outlets and three hypermarkets with a total sales area of not less than 62,417 thousand sq. m.
Main parameters of the deal have already been identified, said the “Magnet”.
“Magnet” and “ETK”
According to analytical system “SPARK-Interfax”, LLC “ETK” (“the Yenisei trading company”) is engaged in the provision of mediation services for the rental properties. The company is registered in Krasnoyarsk, CEO Tatiana Pavlovskaya, which, according to “the Spark”, is also the co-owner of JSC “ETK”. Until January 2017, JSC “ETK” owned 100% of the shares of the same company. Then at 95.3% shares moved to Cyprus Bonvia Investments Limited. Since the end of September, according to the register, 95.3 per cent – Vadim Kirillov, 4,7% – joint-stock company “ETK”.
The first grocery store “Krasny Yar” was opened in 1997. Currently, according to the website of the network are 69 stores (57 in Krasnoyarsk, Zheleznogorsk, three, four in Abakan, two in Lesosibirsk and Sosnovoborsk, one in Irkutsk). The total area of the network is 39 thousand sq. m. Number of SKUs shop – 17 THD SKU.
In 2015, the network has launched a new format – discount stores “Baton”. In 2017, the retailer planned to open 64 new stores, increasing its network to 94 points.
“Magnet” – the largest by number of stores a retailer in Russia. At the end of June the network of the retailer combined 11,114 thousand shopping “at home”, 240 hypermarkets 190 stores “Magnit family” and 3.3 thousand of shops, drogerie, located more than 2.5 thousand settlements of Russia. About two thirds of the company’s stores operate in towns with population less than 500 thousand people.
