72-year-old man living Olovyanninskiy the district wrote a letter to the President, complaining of the impossibility to exist on a pension: “Mr. President! Please give the order to the Governor of Zabaykalsky Krai, the head Olovyanninskiy district, the head of the rural settlement Anninskoe to dig my grave and buy me a coffin. I am 72 years old. To live in this country it is impossible…”
The pensioner explained that his pension is less than subsistence minimum: 8 516 rubles 13 kopecks (the subsistence minimum in the province — 8600 rubles).
However, even this money took the bailiff due to housing debt, while the pensioner had worked in this field for over 40 years..
“Today, — written Vertiprakhov, I have no money. To buy even a loaf of bread can’t. No money, and the medications that I need daily, I am hypertensive”.
At the moment, the journalists of the local newspaper “Vecherka”, who told us about this story, sent to the pensioner package of products: canned meat, flour, sunflower oil, lemons, pasta, candy, sugar and tea.
