Transneft filed a cassation appeal against the decision of the court of appeal on the claim of the company to the savings Bank on 67 billion roubles, have informed “Interfax” counselor of the President of pipeline monopoly, press Secretary Igor Demin.
“The complaint was filed yesterday evening,” he said.

In early June, the Moscow Arbitration court satisfied the claim of “Transneft” about collecting from the savings Bank losses on derivatives 67 billion due to the weakening of the ruble. Ninth arbitration court of appeal on 23 August reversed the decision on the claim.
“Transneft” in the 2014 report said that in December 2013 “to reduce the cost of servicing corporate bonds” made a deal with the Bank, state-controlled simultaneously purchased barrier call option put with a suspensive condition and sold barrier call option call with a suspensive condition in the amount of $2 billion with a due date in September 2015.
As appears from court materials, barrier suspensive condition to the transaction attacked, if the exchange rate overcame 45 rubles/$1. In the fall of 2014 amid a weakening rouble, the barrier condition for the transaction was changed to 50,35 RUB/$1. However, on December 1, the ruble against the dollar exceeded the threshold, reaching a value of 52.62 rubles/$1. On the date of expiry in September 2015, the savings Bank was notified by “Transneft” 66 rubles/$1 and the obligation of the company to pay in favor of the Bank 66,95 billion. “Transneft” has paid this amount on 21 September.
Subsequently, Transneft has filed a claim against Sberbank, demanding to annul detrimental to the pipeline monopoly deal with derivatives.
