– The candidate in mayors of Tbilisi from the ruling party “Georgian dream” former football player and Minister of energy Kakha Kaladze continues to lead among the 13 candidates for this position after conversion in the Central election Commission of the outcome, held on Saturday a vote in the elections to bodies of local self-government 525 of 737 polling stations (71,23%).
According to the CEC, K. Kaladze at this hour got of 51.66% of the vote. On second place came independent candidate Aleko Elisashvili (16,82%), which is slightly ahead of the candidate from the former ruling party “United national movement” Zaal, Udumashvili received – 16,72% of the vote.
CEC has completed the counting of results of voting for mayor of Batumi. The victory was won by the candidate from the ruling party Georgian dream Lasha Komakhidze, who scored – 55.6 per cent of the vote.
In Kutaisi can be held the second round of the mayor elections, as the ruling party candidate Giorgi Cigare, after counting the vote, with 99 of the 124 polling stations garnered 48.4 per cent votes. His rival from the former ruling party “United national movement”, former Minister of foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze received – 27,23% of the vote.
In the next few hours CEC will publish preliminary results of voting at local elections held.
