“Moscow reacted positively to the proposal of Turkey on the abolition of visas for drivers of trucks

– Russia and Turkey are discussing the introduction of a visa-free regime for drivers of heavy vehicles and holders of service passports, writes in the Sunday Turkish news Agency Andolu with reference to the head of Ministry Alexander Novak.

“We commend the introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of Turkey,” he said. “The Russian foreign Ministry has already submitted proposals on the exemption from visas for holders of official passports and drivers of heavy vehicles. Optimistic in the matter of a speedy completion of the process,” – said the head Minenergo.

Earlier, the Minister of economy of Turkey Nihat Zeybekci at the XV meeting of the mixed intergovernmental Russian-Turkish Commission on trade-economic cooperation in Kazan said that Ankara requests to cancel visas for drivers involved in a trade. “Our carriers would be asked to abolish the visa regime for our drivers. Transport is the heart of trade, thanks to him, as soon as possible (to increase – if) barter,” said Zeybekci.
