Kazan. 27 Oct. INTERFAX, JSC “KAMAZ” 2018 will start supplying crankshafts for Volkswagen passenger cars, manufactured in Russia, said the press service of the PJSC.
Forging plant of “KAMAZ” passed the audit, organized by representatives of the company “Volkswagen Grup Rus” (Kaluga, the Russian subsidiary of the concern Volkswagen), and received approval for the production of crankshafts for passenger cars.
Forging plant in 2018 will work with the factory in Kaluga in the status of a permanent provider.
“So far, commensurate with the powers of the existing equipment, evaluate its capabilities in 150 thousand of forgings per year. Further development and increase of volume associated with the modernization project, the purchase of new equipment. “KAMAZ” also States that the decision was made on the modernization of the forging plant. The project implementation period of three years, his goal is the creation of capacities for stamping 518 thousand crankshafts per year for passenger cars produced in Russia. “It’s almost four times more than the volume of the plant in this direction”, – stated in the materials.
