Khanty-Mansiysk. 27 Oct. INTERFAX – oil Production in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous area (KHMAO) in January-September of 2017 made up of 175.9 million tons, which is 1.8% less than in the same period last year, reported “Interfax” in the Department for subsoil use of the KHMAO.
Gas production for the first 9 months increased by 1.4% to 26.9 billion cubic meters, of which 789 million cubic meters made up of natural gas.
As reported in the region since 2008, the trend towards reduction in oil production on average by 1.5% annually. “The decline was due to objective changes in the structure of recoverable reserves, with a lack of resource capacity due to the gradual depletion of old fields and slow the pace of commissioning of new”, – reported the regional government.
KHMAO is one of the largest entities in the Russian Federation for oil and gas. More than 80% of oil production in KhMAD accounts for PJSC “NC “Rosneft”, OJSC “Surgutneftegas”, PJSC “LUKOIL”. Production are OJSC “NGK “Slavneft”, JSC NK “RussNeft”, JSC “Gazprom Neft”, OAO “Tomskneft” VNK, “Salym petroleum development N. In.” and a number of independent subsoil users.
