– Premier dance show “the Firebird” hip-hop” based on the legendary ballet by Igor Stravinsky will be held in the theatrical hall of the Moscow House of music on 7 and 8 November.
The original project, organized with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, will present American choreographer Jennifer Weber, one of the leading popularizers of the new York hip-hop culture.
Experimental show combines the music of Stravinsky and fashion street dance that originated in the second half of the twentieth century in African-American and Latino neighborhoods of new York. “Music in our production is a combination of Igor Stravinsky and hip-hop. But even in modern rhythms you will hear the legendary score. The choreography in the show is made up of combinations of various styles of hip-hop,” notes Weber.
