Declared Russian national team structure on matches with Argentina and Spain

Coaching staff of Russian national team on football, led by Stanislav Cherchesov was defined with players who will be summoned to the national team for training to nearby friendlies with Argentina and Spain.


The Russian team will play two test matches: 11 of Argentina (Moscow) and the 14th – Spain (St. Petersburg). In anticipation of this Stanislav Cherchesov has announced the list of 27 players which will prepare for this fight. It is worth noting that in the present Roman Zobnin that is due to injury in the summer, on the field this season isn’t even out yet, and there is no Igor Denisov.

Composition, as reported on the official website of the Russian football Union, as follows:

Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (PFC CSKA Moskva), Vladimir Gabulov (FC Arsenal Tula), Andrey Lunev (Zenit Saint Petersburg).

Defence: Viktor Vasin, Mario Fernandez (both from CSKA Moscow), Fedor Kudryashov (Rubin Kazan), Georgy Jikia, Ilya Kutepov (both Spartak Moscow), Roman Neustädter (“Fenerbahce” Turkey), Konstantin Rausch (Cologne, Germany), Igor Smolnikov (Zenit St Petersburg).

Midfielders: Alexander Golovin, Alan Dzagoev (both from CSKA Moscow), Denis Glushakov, Roman Zobnin, Dmitry Kombarov (“Spartak” Moscow), Alexander Erokhin, Yuri Zhirkov, Daler Kuzyaev (Zenit Saint Petersburg), Vladislav Ignatyev, Alexey miranchuk and Anton Miranchuk, (all – “the locomotive” Moscow), Anton Shvets (Terek Grozny).

Forwards: Anton Zabolotny (“Tosno”), Alexander Kokorin, Dmitry Poloz (both Zenit St Petersburg), Fyodor Smolov (FC Krasnodar).

According to Stanislav Cherchesov, the Russian team will begin preparations for the matches on November 6. He said that Aleksandr Samedov is missing because of injury, and finding Zobnina important for the player. Specialist also expects Alan Dzagoev, Denis Glushakov and Dmitry Kombarov – all these players missed the last game due to injuries.
