– Swedish police investigating the case of intentional damage to passenger aircraft, “Nextjet” at the airport of Gallivare, said on Monday the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
“Unknown has entered the territory of the airport and organized sabotage, crippling the aircraft. After this, the aircraft was decommissioned. I don’t know what was done with the plane,” the newspaper cited the words of the police spokesman.
According to the report, law enforcement officers arrived at the airport Monday morning on a call of trespassing on the site. During the investigation, police found damage to one of the planes.
To date, the police engineers are investigating the aircraft to establish the details of the incident.
In turn, online news portal the Local reported that the airport management decided to suspend all flights until the investigation is completed.
