Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg expressed by the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev condolences in connection with death of the Russians at the crash of Mi-8 helicopter off the coast of the Spitsbergen archipelago, the press service of the Russian government.
“At the initiative of the Norwegian side had a telephone conversation with Medvedev meets with Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg. Erna Solberg expressed her condolences in connection with death of Russian citizens as a result of falling of helicopter Mi-8 near the shores of the Spitsbergen archipelago and asked to convey words of sympathy to the families and friends of the victims. Dmitry Medvedev thanked the government of Norway and government of Svalbard for organizing the search and rescue operation, in which participated arrived on the island, the specialists of EMERCOM of Russia”, – stated in the message.
Heads of government noted the importance of strengthening practical cooperation in the Arctic region stressed the mutual interest in developing Russian-Norwegian relations, the report says.
