– President of France Emmanuel macron announced the cancellation of state of emergency in the country imposed after a series of attacks in Paris in 2015, said on Tuesday the newspaper the Independent.
The state of emergency will be repealed from 1 November 2017. Since the introduction of it were extended six times.
At the same time, the French President signed a law expanding the fight against terrorism, which will give police more powers to combat extremism, the newspaper notes. This law partially replace the state of emergency in the country.
According to the law, law enforcement will have the ability to conduct searches, to close religious organizations and to restrict the movement of suspected extremists.
On the evening of 13 November 2015 in Paris and its suburbs has been a series of attacks. The victims were 130 people, more than 350 were injured.
