– The Federation of weightlifting of Russia (FTAR) would not challenge the decision of the International weightlifting Federation (IWF) on a year of Ineligibility for anti-doping rule violation, reported “Interfax” on Wednesday, the President FTAR Maxim Agapitov.
“The IWF has made a decision, we are obliged to perform,” said Agapitov.
According to him, FTAR on the Executive Committee also held consultations on the subject options for next year for the team until this issue is resolved.
September 30, the IWF removed the FTAR and the Federation of eight countries from participating in international competitions for one year for violating anti-doping rules. In October, the disqualification came into effect.
