– Russian Svetlana Tver, arrested in absentia on suspicion of illegal acquisition of rights on real estate in the center of Moscow, will be brought to Moscow from the United Arab Emirates, said Friday the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
“Today, November 3 2017, on behalf of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation accompanied by the staff of Interpol of the MIA of Russia and the Federal penitentiary service of Russia Tver will be delivered to Moscow”, – said in a statement posted on the Agency’s website.
According to investigators, Tver, acting together with other unknown defendants, in 2014, illegally acquired the right of ownership residential premises in Central Moscow on 1 billion rubles. In 2015, she was in absentia arrested by court and put on the international wanted list.
“8 September 2016 Tver was detained on the territory of the United Arab Emirates, in this connection, the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation sent a request for her extradition, which was considered and 22 October 2017, satisfied with the Emirati side,” – said the Prosecutor’s office.
The Ministry said that in the end, a criminal case under part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code (fraud committed by a group of persons upon a preliminary collusion, in especially large size).
