About 10 million pounds ($13 million) means Queen Elizabeth II was invested in offshore companies, according to “Bi-bi-si”.
According to the International consortium of investigative journalism, the Duchy of Lancaster is a private possession of the British monarchy, which provides the main income of the Royal family, invested in funds in the Cayman and Bermuda.
Part of the funds were invested in BrightHouse, which is suspected in the conduct of irresponsible credit policy. But a spokesman for the Duchy said “Bi-bi-si” that the investment policy is based on the proven data, and all investments are legitimate and are regularly audited.
He added that the Queen pays taxes on income received by the Duchy.
