A few weeks left until the moment that the international Olympic Committee will announce its decision on admission after a series of doping scandals the Russian team to the winter Olympic games in 2018, which will be held in South Korea’s Pyeongchang. Currently, there are a few solutions to the IOC by the Russian team, and while this decision is not announced, each version is being actively discussed by representatives of the Russian sports and political figures.
So the admission or non-admission team of the Russian Federation to the Olympic games in Pyeongchang, there are also “intermediate options”. For example, Russia can allow to participate in the Olympics, but with the condition that our athletes will not participate in the official opening ceremony or the Games will be execution of the Russian hymn.
Also considered the option of participation of Russians in the Olympics under a neutral flag, if the international Olympic Committee all-taki will decide to enter. However, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has previously called this a “way out” very humiliating for our country.
“The admission of Russia to the Olympics in 2018 under the neutral flag, and not to allow our full team for the Games will be a humiliation for our country”, – said the head of state.
As for the other options, the Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on information policy Alexei Pushkov in his microblog on Twitter have expressed outrage at the proposal to ban the Russian anthem at the Olympic games 2018 in South Korea.
“The participation of the Russian team in the Olympics in 2018 at banning the national anthem of Russia and its exclusion from the opening ceremony of the Olympic games is absolutely unacceptable,” wrote the Senator.
I am convinced that participation in the Olympics by banning the anthem of Russia and its exclusion from the opening ceremony is unacceptable. It is impossible to support the celebration of Russophobia.

Pushkov supported and state Duma Deputy Mikhail Degtyarev, who suggested that such “tolerance options” there on purpose – solely in order to demoralize the Russian national team before the Olympics.
“The message The New York Times on the admission of Russian athletes for the Games in 2018 with the prohibition of the anthem specially published to demoralize the whole team…Bargaining is not appropriate. This humiliation of our country”, – quotes the Deputy of R-Sport.
