– Russia will supply the Philippines, small arms, grenade launchers and motor vehicles, said the head of the official Russian delegation held in the capital of Thailand exhibition Defense&Security, FSMTC of Russia Deputy Director Mikhail Petukhov.
“In the framework of the official visit to the Republic of the Philippines defense Minister Sergei Shoigu signed an intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation, as well as a number of contractual documents for the supply of small arms, rocket-propelled grenade launchers RPT-7В2 and their ammunition, vehicles in the interests of the Ministry of national defense and coast guard of the Philippines” – said Petukhov told reporters.

There he took part in the IV meeting of Ministers of defence of member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and dialogue partners. He also held a number of bilateral and multilateral negotiations with foreign colleagues. During his visit to the Philippines Shoigu signed an intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation with this country.
In August, the official representative of the Federal service for military-technical cooperation (FSMTC of Russia) Maria Vorobyova told “Interfax” that “the Philippine side is interested in a broad range of Russian military products (MPP) for all branches of the armed forces, police and coast guard”. “This is patrol ships, speedboats, submarines of project 636 (“Varshavyanka”- if), helicopters, armored vehicles, small arms and close combat,” – said Vorobyov.
