– Bronze medal in the women received by the Russian, Ekaterina Vilkova at the Olympic games in Beijing, transferred to the Russian Tatyana Petrova-Arkhipova, said the President of the Russian athletics Federation (vfla) Dmitry shlyahtin.
“Documents received, the medal is passed Petrova-Arkhipova,” said shlyahtin at the conference wfla Friday.
Earlier it was reported that Volkova was convicted of using banned substances, the international Olympic Committee (IOC) took the decision to deprive her of the medal.
At the Games in Beijing in 2008 Volkov took 3rd place in steeplechase (steeplechase 3000 metres). Petrova-Arkhipova finished fourth.
Also a bronze medal for mountain running Championships 2012 in the conference wfla received Russian Vitaly Lagutin. Previously, Turk Mazlum Aydemir, who took second place in the championship, was disqualified for doping. Thus, the silver medal went to the German Anton Palzer and bronze Lagutina.
