“Import to Russia from foreign countries for the 10 months rose by a quarter

– Import of goods from CIS countries in Russia in January-October of 2017 amounted to $162.8 billion, an increase of 24.0% compared to the same period in 2016, announced on Friday the FCS.

In October 2017 the volume of imports of goods from CIS countries amounted to $18,345 billion relative to October of 2016 increased by 18.4% (in September the annual growth of imports was 12.4 per cent).

Purchases of textile products and footwear sales in October rose 32.3% in the annual comparison (up to $952,6 million), chemical products – by 24.1% (up to $3 billion 480,7 million), food products – 16.0% (up to $2 064,5 million), engineering products – by 14.9% (to $9 481,1 million).

In the import of food products increased purchasing of fruit by 36.7%, alcoholic and soft drinks – by 34.2%, vegetables – by 33.6%, sugar – by 30.4%, dairy products – by 27.3%, meat and offal – by 21.2%, fish – by 18.7%, cereals – by 5.7%. This reduced the import of tobacco 14.7%, vegetable oil – by 3.5%.

Among the products of the chemical industry increased imports of perfumery and cosmetic products by 34.8%, products of organic and inorganic chemistry – 29.7%, polymers and rubber – 22.4%, pharmaceutical products – by 19.5%.

In the group of textiles and shoes increased Shoe shopping of 45.1%, textile and clothing – 38.1%, cotton – by 34.6%, textiles – by 32.7%, knitwear – by 31.2%.

Imports of engineering products have increased the import of parts of railway locomotives 36.3%, means of ground transport – by 34.3%, tools and devices optical – on 26,1%, electrical equipment – by 20.2%. However, the supply of ships and floating equipment decreased 3.5 times, aircraft by 4.7%.
