– The Russian government expects growth of GDP at the end of this year, more than 2%, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“Positive changes have appeared in the last year and this year, we are experiencing a good recovery growth. We expect that by the end of this year, Russia’s GDP will exceed 2%,” – said Medvedev at the session of Business and investment summit ASEAN-2017.
“What is the meaning of this economic policy? First of all, we carried out anti-crisis support to promising sectors of the banking sector. Some support measures we maintain now, as well as maintain a floating exchange rate and inflation targeting regime”, – said Medvedev.
Earlier in late October, once again the same forecast for GDP growth Russia – ‘ a little more than 2% – was made by the Minister of economic development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin. “Now, when earlier this year I said that the growth (GDP in 2017 – if) will be at least 2%, everyone laughed, no one believed,” he said. “In fact we have the second quarter to 2.5% for the third quarter is 2.2%. And it is out of these 2% or even slightly more by the end of this year”, – said M. Oreshkin.
The head of economic Department expressed the hope that with the II half of 2018, the contribution to economic growth will begin to make the infrastructure program of the mortgage.
