– Owner of FC Moscow “Spartak” Leonid Fedun has questioned the team’s chances to reach the playoffs of the Champions League after missing out on a home victory over Slovenian “Maribor”.
“Questions for psychology there, just not clear what it is… Perhaps the players decided that the match is over, you can’t do that. You can tell the fans that we will play in the Europa League,” said Fedun journalists after the match.
“Sorry, “Spartacus” bad positional plays against the defense, you saw that when the attacks unfolded, it lacks class to beat one to one,” said Fedun.
Earlier Tuesday, “Spartak” played draw with Maribor – 1:1, having missed the victory in stoppage second half time.
“Interfax” led text broadcast of the match.
Spartak scored 6 points, ranked third in group E. Maribor with two points in fourth place. Moreover, both points in matches with “Spartakom”. In the first round, playing at home, Maribor also were behind, but managed to recoup – 1:1.
