The presidential library plans to digitize the literary heritage of Daniil Granin the 100th anniversary of the writer, the press service of the institution.
“Granin here a lot. He came here not only for major events – with the pleasure of speaking with library staff who knew and loved his books, shared their creative plans, views on literature and what is happening around, discussed with them “problematic” questions”, – stated in the message.
One of these meetings became the basis for the documentary film “a Time to remember. Daniil Granin”, where the outstanding Russian writer recalls the past, thinks about the future of literature, science, and culture of the country.
Perpetuating the memory of the writer and the celebration of the anniversary, Vladimir Putin declared at a meeting of the presidential Council for culture and art 21 Dec 2017.
Granin died July 4, 2017. January 1, 2018, he would have turned 99 years old.
