— Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko excluded from the composition of the Supervisory Board of the organizing Committee of the world football championship 2018.
The corresponding government decree published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
In his place, Chairman of the organizing Committee appointed General Director of the organizing Committee “Russia-2018” Alexei Sorokin, who is also the post of the General Director.
It was also reported that Vitaly Mutko will continue to oversee the preparation of the regions for the world Cup, as well as to coordinate the construction of necessary infrastructure of the tournament in the post of Deputy Prime Minister.
Previously Mutko for six months suspended the activity on a post of the President of the Russian football Union (RFU). The acting was the CEO of the Union Alexander Alaev.
